Several Malaysian public-facing agencies have adjusted their operating hours during Ramadan 2026. Here is a clear summary to help you plan ahead.

In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, a number of government service centres and public counters across Malaysia have announced temporary changes to their operating hours. The revisions affect counter services, call centres, and break times, and will remain in place throughout the fasting month.
MYXpats Centre shortens counter and call centre hours
The MYXpats Centre will operate on reduced hours from Monday to Friday during Ramadan.
Counter operations and collection services will run from 9:00am to 3:30pm, while the call centre will operate from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
Break times are scheduled as follows:
- Monday to Thursday: 1:00pm to 1:30pm
- Friday: 12:15pm to 2:45pm
The centre will remain closed on weekends and public holidays.
For assistance, enquiries related to Employment Passes, Professional Visit Passes, and related matters can be directed to the MYXpats helpdesk email. Queries on the Residence-Pass Talent (RP-T) should be sent to the dedicated RP-T care email.
JPA4U counter adjusted operating hours and breaks

The Public Service Department (JPA4U) counter will operate from 8:00am to 4:30pm throughout Ramadan.
Break times will differ between weekdays:
- Monday to Thursday: 1:30pm to 2:00pm
- Friday: 12:30pm to 2:30pm
PERKESO call centre revises operating hours

The Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) has also announced changes to its call centre schedule effective 16 February 2026.
The new operating hours will be Sunday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, slightly reduced from the previous closing time of 5:15pm.
Customers can continue to seek assistance via the PERKESO hotline or email channel.
JIM counters to operate on Ramadan schedule nationwide

The Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) has shared its Ramadan operating hours for counters across the country, with variations depending on state working days.
For most states and territories, counters will operate Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm with Friday break from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. These states are:
- Putrajaya
- Kuala Lumpur
- Labuan
- Selangor
- Negeri Sembilan
- Melaka
- Pahang
- Perak
- Perlis
- Pulau Pinang
- Johor
- Sabah
- Sarawak
In other states, namely Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah, counters will open Sunday to Wednesday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, and Thursday from 8:00am to 2:30pm.
Additionally, 15 passport issuing and collection branches will open on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:30pm. The locations are:
- Menara Ikhlas, Putrajaya
- Kelana Jaya, Selangor
- Kajang, Selangor
- Puchong, Selangor
- Shah Alam, Selangor
- Lumut, Perak
- Kuala Selangor, Selangor
- Kuala Kubu Bharu, Selangor
- Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur
- Ambassador Street, Kuala Lumpur
- Ayer Keroh, Melaka
- Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang
- Taiping, Perak
- Teluk Intan, Perak
- Kulim, Kedah
Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) immigration counters nationwide will operate daily from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
JPJ shortens counter operating hours nationwide

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced revised counter operating hours throughout the month of Ramadan 2026, with schedules differing by state.
For Group A states (Kelantan, Kedah, Terengganu), counters will operate from Sunday to Wednesday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a break from 1:00pm to 1:30pm.
For Group B states (Federal Territories, Johor, Selangor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak), counters will be open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Break times are 1:00pm to 1:30pm from Monday to Thursday, and 12:30pm to 2:30pm on Fridays.
JPJ offices located at the 22 UTCs will follow the operating hours set by each UTC.
Queue numbers will be issued throughout operating hours. The public is advised to use the JPJeQ facility to plan their visit for a smoother and more organised experience.
Planning ahead during Ramadan
With operating hours temporarily adjusted across multiple agencies, individuals are encouraged to plan visits early, check specific locations in advance, and allow additional time for processing to avoid any disruptions during the Ramadan period.
