He will lead learning, talent, and culture initiatives as Pos Malaysia continues its transformation, with a focus on future skills and building a high-performance culture.
Viknesh Rajandran has joined Pos Malaysia as Head of People Development & Culture, taking on responsibility for learning & development, talent management, culture, programme management, and process improvement.
He joins Pos Malaysia from Maxis, where he was Head of Employee Experience, Employer Branding & Admin Services.
Viknesh shared in an interview with Human Resources Online that the move comes at an important point in Pos Malaysia’s transformation journey. He said he is particularly excited about joining the organisation at this stage and building on the culture already in place, while supporting the company’s broader business turnaround priorities and strategic board deliverables.
Looking ahead, his number one priority in the first year will be to establish a "robust, data-backed talent, and learning architecture" – one that "anchors our culture directly to our digital transformation journey specifically through fit for purpose skilling programs that empower our WIRAs with future skills."
Viknesh reports to Natalia Navin, Group Chief People Officer (GCPO).
In shaping the organisation’s people strategy, he plans to bring employee development and culture closer to the core of the business rather than treating them as HR-only initiatives. This includes working closely with leaders to identify capability gaps, strengthen managerial effectiveness and develop scalable programmes based on workforce usage and proficiency data.
Viknesh also anticipates challenges as Pos Malaysia moves quickly through its transformation. He shares: "The main challenge is balancing the sheer speed of transformation with workforce change fatigue and psychological safety, especially as we introduce new digital and AI-driven ways of working.
"We are tackling this proactively by anchoring our people programs on strong wellbeing frameworks and clear, empathetic communication."
On the flip side, he adds, "the opportunity is massive, we have a unique chance to align our employer brand with an exceptional internal culture."
Looking within his HR team, Viknesh aims to foster a high-performance culture centred on purpose and performance. However, he stresses that this approach extends beyond HR, as his role supports the wider organisation.
Alongside performance, he wants to build a culture of empathy and strategic agility, with HR teams acting as trusted advisors and using behavioural insights to address complex organisational challenges.
As he settles into the new role, Viknesh’s focus will be on strengthening the link between people development, culture and business transformation, while helping employees build the capabilities needed for the organisation’s next phase.
