Winning Secrets: TechConnect's shared commitment is all about putting people at the centre of transformation

Employee experience is a strategic capability that drives innovation, leadership readiness, and sustainable business growth, says Yuni Lasti Faulinda, VP People Strategy, TechConnect.

As organisations accelerate AI and business transformation, employee experience is becoming more than a collection of HR programmes. For TechConnect, it means intentionally building an integrated ecosystem that enables both people and business to grow together, using AI-driven insights combined with empathetic leadership and a strong sense of purpose.

The organisation has connected leadership development, wellbeing, career mobility, continuous listening, and personalised learning into one employee journey, Yuni Lasti Faulinda, Vice President of People Strategy at TechConnect, shares. Leaders champion the vision through GOWIN, TechConnect's leadership character built on grit, collaboration, and winning spirit, while managers are equipped with AI-powered people insights and practical tools. Employees, meanwhile, help shape initiatives through continuous listening, talent aspiration surveys, innovation forums, and cross-functional collaboration.

The approach earned TechConnect multiple awards at the Employee Experience Awards 2026, Indonesia.

  1. Gold for Best Organisational Change Leadership
  2. Gold for Best HR Digital Transformation Strategy
  3. Gold for Best Transformative Learning Strategy
  4. Gold for Best In-House Recruitment Team
  5. Silver for Best Employer Branding and Bronze
  6. Bronze for Best Succession Planning Strategy

Following the wins, Human Resources Online speaks with Yuni to learn how TechConnect is using AI and people analytics to create more personalised employee journeys, while keeping human connection, trust, and empathy at the centre of its transformation.

Q Tell us about the biggest insight or lesson that influenced your EX approach this past year.

The biggest insight we gained this past year is that employee experience should not be treated as a collection of HR programmes, it must be intentionally engineered as an integrated ecosystem that enables both people and business to grow together.

As TechConnect accelerated its AI and business transformation, we realised that technology alone does not create meaningful experiences. The real differentiator is combining AI-driven insights with empathetic leadership and a strong sense of purpose. This inspired us to connect leadership development, wellbeing, career mobility, continuous listening, and personalised learning into one seamless employee journey.

Rather than simply improving engagement, we focused on building human capability at scale, creating an experience where every employee can continuously grow, contribute, and prepare for the future while supporting our ambition of becoming a global technology-driven organisation.

Q How did you bring leaders, managers, and employees together to support the execution and success of the initiative?

At TechConnect, we believe employee experience is everyone's responsibility, not HR's alone. We anchored our approach in GOWIN, our leadership character built on Grit, Collaboration, and Winning Spirit, which serves as a common language for how leaders inspire, managers empower, and employees work together. Leaders championed the vision by role modelling GOWIN behaviors and reinforcing that people are our greatest competitive advantage.

Managers were equipped with AI-powered people insights, leadership development programmes, and practical tools to create meaningful everyday experiences for their teams. Employees actively shaped our initiatives through continuous listening, talent aspiration surveys, innovation forums, and cross-functional collaboration.

By combining human-centred leadership with data-driven decision-making, we created a closed-loop ecosystem where feedback became action, action-built trust, and employee experience became a shared organisational movement rather than an HR initiative.

Q What challenge behind the scenes tested your team the most, and what did it teach you about building stronger employee experience programmes?

Our biggest challenge was creating a consistent employee experience across a rapidly growing, multi-business organisation while recognising that every employee has different aspirations, career paths, and wellbeing needs. We quickly realised that standardised programmes could no longer keep pace with evolving expectations.

This challenged us to move beyond one-size-fits-all initiatives towards a more personalised, AI-enabled approach. By leveraging people analytics, predictive insights, talent intelligence, and continuous employee listening, we gained a deeper understanding of individual needs while maintaining organisational consistency.

More importantly, we learned that technology should never replace the human element, it should strengthen it. Strong employee experience programmes are built when AI enhances decision-making, leaders foster meaningful connections, and employees see their voices translated into visible action.

Q As you reflect on the journey, what does this recognition at the Employee Experience Awards 2026 mean to you and your team?

This recognition is deeply meaningful because it celebrates much more than successful HR programmes, it reflects a shared commitment across our organisation to put people at the centre of transformation. It belongs to every leader who embraces our GOWIN leadership character, every manager who invests in developing their teams, and every employee who continuously contributes ideas to improve our workplace.

More importantly, it reinforces our belief that employee experience is a strategic capability that drives innovation, leadership readiness, and sustainable business growth. While we are honoured by this recognition, we see it as a milestone rather than a destination. It motivates us to continue engineering human capability, advancing human-centered AI, and building an organisation where purpose, technology, and people grow together to create lasting impact.

Q Finally, as employee expectations continue to evolve, what is one area of EX you believe HR teams will need to rethink in the year ahead?

The next frontier of employee experience is moving from reactive support to predictive and personalised experiences. Employees no longer expect the same experience, they expect the right experience at the right moment. AI and people analytics now make it possible to anticipate career aspirations, wellbeing risks, learning needs, and internal mobility opportunities before employees even ask.

However, personalisation should never come at the expense of human connection. The organisations that will lead the future are those that combine human-centred AI with authentic leadership, trust, and empathy.

HR's role is evolving from designing standard programmes to orchestrating intelligent, adaptive employee journeys that grow with each individual while remaining closely aligned with organisational purpose and long-term business strategy.
