His mandate in this new role is to strengthen the group's capabilities and customer relationships across all industries the organisation serves in Southeast Asia, India, Taiwan, and Korea.
Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation has appointed Yasunori Izumi as President and CEO, Nippon Sanso Holdings Singapore, effective 1 April 2026, as the organisation enters a new chapter in its regional growth journey.
Based in Singapore, Izumi spearheads the regional holding entity, driving strategy and operational alignment across Nippon Sanso group of companies in Southeast Asia, India, Taiwan, and Korea – a dynamic region encompassing nine countries and more than 2,000 employees. His appointment comes as the group focuses on deepening its presence across priority sectors including electronics, medical gases, and sustainable industrial solutions, with an ambition to move from gas supply towards becoming a total solutions provider for customers across the region.
Izumi brings substantial operational experience within the Nippon Sanso group, having most recently served as Vice Chairman of Nippon Sanso India (formerly Taiyo Nippon Sanso India). During his tenure, he established a new office in Delhi to strengthen the company's regional presence, spearheaded the launch of an electronics business to drive diversification and growth, and led a comprehensive organisational restructuring, including optimisation of the product portfolio, that successfully returned the business to profitability.
Southeast Asia, India, Taiwan, and Korea are among Nippon Sanso's most active growth markets. The region serves industries from semiconductors and healthcare to food production and emerging sustainable applications. Izumi's mandate is to strengthen the group's capabilities and customer relationships across all of them.
Reflecting on the role of people in building the organisation he wants to lead, Izumi said: "Our business grows when our people grow. I see HR not as a support function but as a genuine partner in building the capabilities and leadership that the business needs now and over the long term.
"The goal is an organisation where people are set up to do their best work, and where that work directly moves the business forward."
