A meeting between the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK) and Public Service Department was held on Monday (3 March 2025) with the aim to strengthen financial economic wellbeing among civil servants in Malaysia.
Some of the key movements made during the meeting include:
- The development of structured finance module – To provide practical and accessible financial guidance to increase awareness and encourage personal financial management skills.
- Advocacy and early intervention – To ensure public service officials receive the right guidance when faced with financial challenges through counselling and strategic support.
- Financial awareness empowerment – Increase the understanding of sustainable financial planning and the importance of balancing income and financial commitments.
Moving forward with the efforts above, JPA said it aims to ensure that the welfare of public officials is to be maintained while contributing to increased productivity and work-life balance.
