There are eight long weekends to be expected in the coming year.
The Macao SAR Government has released the 2025 public holidays, exemption from work and compensatory rest days for public employees.
Per the list, there are 20 days of public holidays in the coming year, wherein five compensatory rest days are for Easter, Tung Ng Festival, All Soul’s Day, Macao S.A.R. Establishment Day, and Winter Solstice, making it a total of eight long weekends.
In addition, the Chief Executive also grants two afternoons exemption from work to public employees for Lunar New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve.
