About 300,000 Pioneer Generation (PG) seniors will receive additional top-ups ranging from S$300 to S$1,400, totalling over S$160mn.
Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced that eligible seniors will receive amounts based on their age and health conditions. Those born in 1934 or earlier (aged 91 and above in 2025) will receive S$1,200, with an additional S$200 for seniors with serious pre-existing conditions, totalling S$1,400.
Seniors born between 1935 and 1939 (aged 86 to 90) will receive S$700, with an additional S$50 top-up for those with serious pre-existing conditions, bringing their total to S$750. Those born between 1940 and 1944 (aged 81 to 85) will receive S$500, while seniors born between 1945 and 1949 (aged 76 to 80) will get S$300.
The top-ups will be credited automatically into the CPF MediSave accounts of eligible seniors. These funds can be used for medical expenses such as hospitalisation, day surgeries, outpatient treatments, and premiums for MediShield Life, CareShield Life, ElderShield, and other MediSave-approved insurance plans.
These PG top-ups are provided in addition to the annual GST Voucher - MediSave top-ups available to eligible seniors aged 65 and above.
Older Pioneer Generation seniors aged 91 and above in 2025 will continue to have their MediShield Life premiums fully covered by the Government. Meanwhile, younger Pioneers will have about two-thirds of their MediShield Life premiums subsidised through these schemes.
To notify recipients in a timely manner, seniors who registered their mobile numbers with Singpass before 2 June 2025 will receive an SMS by 18 June. Others will get notification letters by the end of June.
This MediSave top-up initiative is part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to support older Singaporeans in managing healthcare costs, ensuring seniors can continue to access affordable care.
