This year’s jury panel features an exceptional line-up of senior HR leaders from some of the Philippines’ most influential organisations, including CIMB Bank Philippines, Golden Arches Development Corporation (McDonald’s Philippines), Lazada Philippines, and Meralco Industrial Engineering Services Corporation (MIESCOR), among others.

We spoke with several of our distinguished judges to gain a behind-the-scenes perspective on the judging process — and to hear what stood out to them as they reviewed this year’s entries.

Aileen Janice Alfonso Rosadio, Country Head of Human Resources, Bosch Philippines, reflected on her experience as a judge for this year’s HR Excellence in the Philippines: “It was a privilege to serve as a judge for this year’s HR Excellence in the Philippines. What stood out was how HR practitioners are leveraging AI and AI-enabled tools to create meaningful people initiatives while keeping human connection at the core.

"The innovation showcased reflects a promising future where Filipino talent is being prepared to thrive not only locally but also on the global stage. This experience leaves me optimistic about the future of HR and the impact our profession continues to make."

Highlighting the evolution of HR practices, Emilyn F. Doria, HR Director, Asia Region, LG Electronics, noted: “It has been a privilege to serve as a judge for the HR Awards 2026 for the second time. This year’s entries showcased how HR continues to drive meaningful business and people outcomes through innovation, purpose, and a strong focus on employee experience.

"What impressed me most was the commitment to creating sustainable impact, proving that when organisations invest in their people, both individuals and businesses thrive. Congratulations to all the finalists for raising the bar for HR excellence in the Philippines."

For Michelle A. Catilo, Human Resources Department Head, World Class Laminate, the experience underscored the strength of the HR community: “All finalists are considered winners already. A round of applause to everyone. This is my second time serving on the judging panel of the HR Excellence Awards, and it is an honour to be part of it. The HR community has successfully translated strategies into tangible business results."

According to her, the entries demonstrated how organisations are making real changes in how they care for, grow, motivate and retain talent. "They have adapted well to recent industry challenges, demonstrating a highly effective approach to employee development. Good luck and congratulations."

Sharing a similar sentiment, Damaris “D” Parra, Vice President for Human Resources and Organisation Development, The Medical City Clinic, described the judging experience as deeply engaging: "It was a great experience to be part of the jury for the HR Excellence Awards 2026 Philippines. This year’s entries were truly exceptional. The journey each organisation went through was remarkable, and I have not just read but walked through each experience.

"Truly, our HR professionals are cornerstones of successful and sustainable organisations. Congratulations to all the teams. Mabuhay!"

Finally, Ben Marasigan, Vice President, Human Capital Group, Golden Arches Development Corporation (McDonald’s Philippines), said he found the experience as a judge "both inspiring and encouraging", highlighting that the entries demonstrated how HR continues to evolve as a strategic partner on business performance, organisational transformation, and societal impact.

He added: "Beyond elevating employee experience, HR leaders are strengthening organizational capability, shaping culture, developing future-ready talents, and creating program that positively impact the communities they serve. What impressed me most was the ability to translate purpose into measurable outcomes, proving that people strategies can simultaneously help advance business success, employee wellbeing, and social progress.

"The future of HR in the Philippines is marked by innovation, resilience, and a deep commitment to creating lasting value for all stakeholders."
