Talentbank has officially unveiled the winners of the Graduates’ Choice Award (GCA) 2026, recognising Malaysia’s most sought-after employers as voted entirely by university students nationwide.

Now in its eighth consecutive year, the Graduates’ Choice Award remains Malaysia’s largest student-driven employer benchmark. In 2026, more than 740,000 cumulative votes were cast by students from over 100 universities across the country, making it the most extensive employer perception study within the graduate market.

Unlike panel-judged awards, GCA is 100% driven by student voices, offering employers and policymakers direct insight into how Malaysia’s emerging workforce evaluates career opportunities. To ensure the benchmark remains relevant and methodologically robust, the survey instruments will be reviewed every two years at the Graduate Employability Bootcamp together with policymakers.

The 2026 winners represent the highest-ranked organisations across major sectors including financial services, technology, FMCG, healthcare, telecommunications, energy, professional services and digital platforms.

These employers secured top positions based on direct student votes, and evaluation across five critical dimensions when looking for job: career growth opportunities, job role and responsibilities, work-life balance, benefits and compensation, and company reputation.

The results reflect how Malaysia’s emerging workforce assesses organisations before entering full-time employment — placing strong emphasis on long-term career development, meaningful job scopes and organisational credibility.

Collectively, the GCA 2026 winners set the benchmark for employer branding excellence and talent attractiveness within Malaysia’s graduate employment landscape.

Talentbank Chief Executive Officer, Ben Ho, stated that this year’s results send a strong and measurable signal to the market.

“With over 740,000 cumulative votes cast nationwide, the 2026 winners represent the organisations that have earned genuine trust and confidence from Malaysia’s university students. This is a direct reflection of market perception.”

He added that in an increasingly competitive talent landscape, understanding graduate expectations is no longer optional.

“Employers who align with graduate priorities today will secure stronger talent pipelines tomorrow.”

The winning organisations span a broad range of industries, demonstrating that employer excellence is not confined to a single sector. From multinational corporations to leading domestic enterprises, the 2026 rankings highlight companies that have successfully positioned themselves as employers of choice among young talent.

As Malaysia’s most authoritative student-driven employer benchmark, the Graduates’ Choice Award has become a strategic reference point for employer branding across industries. For organisations, ranking highly in GCA signals strong brand resonance among graduates — a key advantage in securing early-career talent in a tightening labour market. For students, the benchmark offers a trusted reference when navigating career decisions.

The 2026 results reinforce a clear message: employers that combine growth opportunities, meaningful roles and strong reputations are leading the race for Malaysia’s future talent.

Following the announcement of the 2026 winners, voting for the Graduates’ Choice Award 2027 is now officially open. University students nationwide are invited to cast their votes and shape next year’s national employer ranking at: www.graduateschoiceaward.com/vote.
