The finalists for the HR Vendors of the Year (HR VOTY) Awards 2026 – Malaysia have been revealed.
This 21st edition introduces three new categories:
- Best HR Analytics & Workforce Intelligence Solution,
- Best HR Compliance Partner, and
- Best Employee Self-Service Platform.
These categories reflect the growing importance of data, compliance, and employee empowerment in HR.
Across 33 categories, the awards programme also recognises excellence in recruitment, payroll, employee engagement, learning and development, wellness, HR technology and workforce solutions.
The finalists will come together to compete for gold, silver, and bronze at the HR VOTY 2026 gala on 29 October.
The 2026 judging panel brings together senior HR leaders from across industries, bringing diverse perspectives and expertise to the evaluation of this year’s HR solutions and vendors.
Speaking with HRO, members of the jury reflected on the quality of this year’s submissions and the trends shaping Malaysia’s HR landscape.
Thiagarajan Veeran, Director Human Resources, Dexcom Malaysia, highlighted the growing role of AI in HR: "One clear theme across this year’s entries was the growing integration of AI into HR solutions. It was encouraging to see vendors using technology not just for automation, but to improve decision-making, employee experience and the overall effectiveness of HR."
For Edmund Teh, Head of Group Talent Attraction & Employer Branding, KPJ Healthcare, what stood out was the willingness of vendors to challenge conventional thinking and create meaningful value. He shared: "Many entrants demonstrated a willingness to challenge conventional thinking, embrace innovation, and find meaningful ways to create value for their clients."
Tishal Rai, Head of People, Koppiku, similarly observed that the strongest entries went beyond novelty to address genuine organisational needs: "The strongest entries were not simply about introducing something new, but about identifying a genuine organisational need and creating solutions that made a measurable difference to both employees and the business."
Meanwhile, Serene Tan, People & Organisation Director, Asia, XP Power (Malaysia), described the judging process as both inspiring and rewarding, highlighting the "outstanding talent, innovation, and dedication" reflected across the submissions.
