Top 10 high-paying jobs for extroverts in 2025

The role of a natural sciences manager tops the list with a median annual salary of US$161,180, according to research.

Extroverts are known for their outgoing nature, high energy, and enthusiasm for social interaction. In the workplace, these traits can help restore the human touch – especially in an increasingly remote, AI-driven world – by fostering collaboration, energising teams, and building community.

Roles in sales, management, healthcare, and law often rely on interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to read and respond to others. That’s why extroverts tend to thrive in these environments. Resume Genius analysed data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, O*NET Online, and the Labor Market Information (LMI) Institute, to identify the top 15 high-paying and future-proof jobs that suit extroverted personalities in 2025.

*While the survey was conducted in the US, HRO believes the results remain relevant to our readership in Asia.

To help employers identify the right candidates for people-facing roles, here are four key soft skills to look for – beyond what’s listed on a resume:

1. Highlight communication skills with specific examples
Candidates should go beyond generic claims like “good at public speaking”. Instead, they should showcase achievements such as leading meetings, delivering training, or resolving client issues. For example, “presented monthly updates to a 20-person cross-functional team”.

2. Demonstrate adaptability with real situations
People-facing jobs often involve sudden changes, such as shifting project goals or unexpected client concerns. Candidates should illustrate adaptability by sharing how they balanced competing deadlines or adjusted a presentation on the spot.

3. Show active listening skills during interviews
Listening is just as critical as speaking in people-focused roles. Candidates should demonstrate active listening in interviews by asking clarifying questions, referencing the interviewer’s points, and showing attentiveness to priorities.

4. Build and maintain professional networks
Careers in areas such as PR and sales often reward strong relationship-building. Employers can look for candidates who maintain contacts, participate in professional associations, and collaborate across teams. Highlighting experiences like coordinating with partner organisations on a joint event demonstrates both networking ability and skill in managing complex relationships.
