She takes on the top HR role in Indonesia after more than eight years with L’Oréal, having progressed through a series of HR leadership positions across the business.
L’Oréal Indonesia has appointed Fathimah Zahra Achmad (pictured above) as Chief Human Relations Officer, marking the latest step for her in a career with the beauty company that began in 2018.
Fathimah shared the appointment on LinkedIn, describing it as “a new story” and “a bigger responsibility”.
In her new role, she will take responsibility for the company’s overall people agenda in Indonesia.
Her journey with L’Oréal began in 2018, when she joined as HR Retail & Outsourcing Manager. She subsequently moved through several HR leadership roles. Most recently, she served as HR Business Partner Director for CPD & Corp Affairs and Engagement.
Looking back on her time with L’Oréal, Fathimah said her experience had taken her through different businesses, teams and challenges.
“Careers rarely follow a perfectly straight line,” she said in her LinkedIn post, noting that each experience, challenge, and transformation can help prepare professionals for what comes next.
Before joining L’Oréal, Fathimah spent six years with Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia, where she held roles including HR Business Process Improvement Manager and HR Operations Manager.
With the latest move, she will now lead L’Oréal Indonesia’s people agenda, bringing experience across HR business partnering, operations, and multiple business divisions.
Fathimah said she was grateful for the experiences that had brought her to the new chapter and looked forward to building an organisation where people can grow, culture can thrive and teams can continue to develop.
She added that there was still “so much to learn”, which she said was part of what made the next chapter exciting.
