Up the ranks: Laura Parkes takes on LVMH’s Chief People Officer role for South & Southeast Asia

She joins from her current role at Louis Vuitton effective 14 September 2026, bringing deep experience spanning succession planning, talent acquisition, early-careers programmes, and executive development.

Laura Parkes (pictured above) will soon take on one of LVMH’s key regional people leadership roles this September, moving on from Louis Vuitton to become Chief People Officer for LVMH South & Southeast Asia.

Starting on 14 September 2026, Parkes will report to Maud Alvarez-Pereyre, LVMH’s Chief Human Resources Officer, and join the regional leadership team alongside François Kohler, President of LVMH South & Southeast Asia.

In the role, Parkes will oversee the people agenda across the region, supporting LVMH’s Maisons as they develop local talent, navigate organisational change and ensure that people priorities remain closely connected to business ambition.

Parkes arrives with a strong track record in global talent and organisational development. She has spent more than five years at Louis Vuitton, first joining as VP Global Talent and Development in 2021 before being appointed Senior Vice President Talent and Development in January 2024.

As Senior Vice President, she has led global talent for the Maison, working across central and global functions, as well as industrial and retail teams worldwide. Her portfolio has ranged from succession and development planning to global talent acquisition, early-careers talent management, development programmes, executive recruitment, and executive coaching and development.

“Her strong international background, leadership in talent development and ability to support complex transformations will be instrumental in further strengthening our teams and supporting our ambitions in the region,” said Alvarez-Pereyre.

Before Louis Vuitton, Parkes held senior HR and transformation roles at Philip Morris International and Gap Inc., following a career that has taken her across Europe and Asia Pacific. Her earlier experience includes leading talent acquisition and organisation-development work at Avery Dennison and Verizon Business, where she built regional recruitment capabilities across multiple markets.
