Filipino respondents topped the 'bleisure' rankings at 95%, while Thai travellers followed closely at 92%, and Vietnamese at 86%.
Business trips across Asia Pacific are increasingly doubling as personal getaways, with most professionals planning to extend their stays beyond meetings and conferences.
Agoda’s 2026 Travel Outlook Report revealed that 76% of surveyed business travellers intend to combine work travel with leisure time, highlighting a growing shift toward “bleisure” trips.
Business travel remains active in several markets, with Indonesia leading at 27% of respondents planning work trips in 2026, followed by the Philippines at 20% and Vietnam at 19%.
Among those travelling for work, many are choosing to stay longer. The Philippines recorded the highest interest in adding personal time, with 95% of business travellers saying they plan to extend their trips. Thailand followed at 92%, while Vietnam came in at 86%.
The trend is also visible in markets traditionally seen as more work-focused. In Japan, 58% of business travellers said they would add personal time to their corporate itineraries, while South Korea recorded 76%.
The findings suggest that for many professionals, business travel is no longer limited to tight schedules and quick returns, but increasingly includes time set aside for rest or exploration.
Omri Morgenshtern, Chief Executive Officer, Agoda shared: "Across Asia Pacific, we’re seeing professionals plan to intentionally extend their work trips with personal days to enjoy local experiences and make the most of their time on the road.
