At the helm: Dhruv Vohra to lead Meta's Southeast Asia business

He will oversee Meta’s commercial strategy across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, drawing on seven years of experience across e-commerce, digital business, and commercial leadership in Asia Pacific.

Meta has appointed Dhruv Vohra (pictured above) as Managing Director, Global Business Group, Southeast Asia.

In his new role, Dhruv will lead Meta’s commercial strategy across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, reporting to Benjamin Joe, Vice President for Asia Pacific.

He will lead the teams that work with advertisers and agencies across the region, supporting businesses of different sizes as they use AI and Meta’s family of apps to engage customers and grow their businesses.

Dhruv will also work to deepen Meta’s partnerships across Southeast Asia.

Commenting on the appointment, Joe said Southeast Asia is one of Meta’s fastest-growing business regions, with businesses increasingly looking to use AI and messaging to keep pace with customer expectations.

“Dhruv has spent seven years close to those businesses, and he has built the teams that support millions of them,” Joe said.

“He is the right person for this next phase,” he added.

Dhruv brings seven years of experience at Meta, with a background spanning e-commerce, digital business, and commercial leadership across Asia Pacific.

He joined Meta in 2019 as Director for e-commerce and digital natives, working with platforms that were changing how consumers across the region shop.

He later took on responsibility for small and medium business (SMB) growth in Southeast Asia, before expanding his remit to lead the SMB Group across Asia Pacific.

His new appointment brings him back to Southeast Asia, where he began his career at Meta.
