Foreigners travelling to India can submit e-arrival card effective 1 October 2025

This is part of the Bureau of Immigration's efforts to go paperless and make things more seamless to welcome travellers.

Effective 1 October 2025, those travelling to India will be required to complete the e-arrival card facility launched by the Bureau of Immigration.

This is applicable to all international travellers, including OCI card holders (overseas citizens of India). The card will be available to fill in upto 72 hours prior to arrival timing.

This e-form replaces the paper-based form that travellers previously had to submit after disembarking from the aircraft. It is part of the Bureau of Immigration's efforts to go paperless and make things more seamless to welcome travellers.

The Indian government has launched a dedicated portal for the e-arrival card system - please find the link here.
