GSTV 2025 payouts: Over 1.5mn eligible Singaporeans to receive up to S$850 in cash in Aug 2025

Eligible recipients of the GSTV – Cash and GSTV – MediSave will automatically receive their payments starting from 6 August 2025 if they have signed up for these schemes previously.

More than 1.5mn eligible adult Singaporeans will receive up to a total of S$850 in cash in August 2025 from the enhanced GSTV – Cash scheme, depending on their Accessible Income (AI) for the Year of Assessment (YA) 2024 and the Annual Value (AV) of their home. 

On top of the payouts, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) also announced that as part of GSTV – MediSave, about 690,000 eligible Singaporean seniors will receive up to S$450 in MediSave top-ups, which will be automatically credited to their CPF MediSave Accounts. Those who are eligible will receive S$150 to S$450, depending on their age and AV of their home. 

A breakdown of the respective schemes are as follows:

Eligibility

Eligible recipients of the GSTV – Cash and GSTV – MediSave will automatically receive their payments starting from 6 August 2025 if they have signed up for these schemes previously. Citizens may check their eligibility for these schemes, as well as sign up for these benefits at the govbenefits website by logging in with their Singpass.

Eligible recipients will be notified via SMS from August 2025 after their GSTV – Cash and/or GSTV – MediSave has/have been credited. Recipients without a Singpass-registered mobile number will be informed through a letter sent to their address on their IC. 

To protect citizens from scams, MOF stated that SMS notifications from “gov.sg” will only inform you of your benefits. They will never ask you to reply, click links, or share personal details.
