Ahead of the closure, Snow City will run a public farewell campaign titled 'One Last Snowfall' from June to September 2026, aimed at giving visitors a chance to return to the attraction and mark its final months.
After 26 years of bringing winter to Singapore, Snow City is nearing its final thaw.
The indoor snow centre, billed as Singapore’s first, will end operations as the Science Centre Board (SCB) reviews its offerings amid changing visitor interests and the wider attractions landscape. SCB said the closure is also aligned with its science education mission and future plans.
Currently, Snow City employs eight full-time staff, all of whom have been offered redeployment opportunities within SCB. Employees who choose to pursue opportunities elsewhere will receive outplacement assistance and severance support in line with applicable employment terms and prevailing Ministry of Manpower guidelines.
The company has also stated that it will honour its contractual obligations to all its vendors.

In social media posts shared on Facebook and Instagram, Snow City addressed visitors: "We aren't just closing a building; we are closing a chapter of a story we wrote together.
"Your laughter has been the heartbeat of our sub-zero halls, and your joy has kept us warm through every frost."

As part of the campaign, Snow City will offer limited-time experiences and promotions. These include a Snow Play package priced at S$19 for adults and S$16 for children, a slashed price from the current S$27 for adults and S$23 for children. The package includes one hour of snow play and a bumper car ride.
More details on the farewell campaign will be released through Snow City’s and Science Centre Singapore’s websites and official social media channels in the coming weeks.
