In this interview, we speak to Marie Antonette Moreno-Valenzuela, HR Head, ING Hubs Philippines, for a sneak peek into what forms the heart of the organisation's people strategy.
Q What was the motivation that sparked your passion & business case for pursuing your outstanding people strategy?
At ING Philippines Hub, we focus on our people.  At the core of our people strategy, we develop our 'People Offer' taking on a holistic view and taking into consideration our employee experience.
Q Looking back, can you share a challenge that you overcame in your journey of HR excellence? How did you triumph?
Working within a dynamic environment, the challenge is always to balance the business requirements, external factors and employees’ needs.
Q Beyond the recognition, what impact do you hope your feature in the HR Excellence Awards would have on the HR community and manpower landscape?
Beyond the recognition, it is most important that we are creating an impact to our employees, and be able to add value to the industry as we drive a strategic people agenda within ING Hubs Philippines and the communities we are in.
Q Could you share some advice you would give to others aspiring to follow in your footsteps?
Be a step ahead, and put your people at the core of all that you do.
