DAG houses about 1,000 employees from the bank’s Operations Group.
Financial service powerhouse DBS has unveiled its new DBS Asia Gateway (DAG) office at Perennial Business City (PBC).
Originally located at Toh Guan Road, DAG has been designed to operate as a live parallel site under the bank’s business continuity plan to reinforce its operational resiliency and uninterrupted delivery of its global operations. Being in Jurong also allows the bank to better serve its customers in the West.
With the move to PBC, the bank has contributed to bettering its environmental footprint, as the PBC building has secured the first BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy Business Park in Jurong Lake District.
Circular economy practices have been incorporated when fitting out DAG, which include using reclaimed materials, upcycled elements and restorative strategies to reduce waste and extend resource lifecycles.
Reclaimed wood was used to craft over 800 tabletops, while bamboo – a lower-carbon alternative to hardwood – was used to craft the office’s meeting tables.
Recycled materials such as wooden crates, coffee bean bags, old workstation tabletops, discarded timber pallets, compressed glass and plastic were used for various functional purposes such as seating and storage.
Cooling systems in the office comprise a combination of active chilled beams and passive displacement cooling, using chilled water, airflow and smart sensors. The systems have been achieving 20% better energy performance than the BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low energy building standards.

Derrick Goh, Group Chief Operating Officer, DBS, said, “We are pleased to announce our new alternate office at DBS Asia Gateway (DAG) which enhances our operational resiliency and ability to maintain high levels of reliability for our customers globally."
The announcement was made in conjunction with the second edition of the DBS Regenerative Festival, which aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore adopt regenerative business practices to advance their own sustainability journeys.
Over 300 business owners and industry partners joined the half-day event which was headlined by a fireside chat between Guest-of-Honour Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Education, and Sustainability and the Environment, and Tan Su Shan, DBS CEO.
