Embassy Group announces nine-day Diwali holiday for employees

The India-based real estate developer will close the festive period with a company-wide break from 7 to 15 November 2026, continuing a tradition spanning more than two decades.

Embassy Group will give employees a nine-day break for Diwali from 7 to 15 November 2026, continuing an annual tradition that has been in place for more than two decades.

The break is intended to allow employees to disconnect from work and spend uninterrupted time with their families and loved ones during the festive period.

The company said the initiative recognises the role families play in supporting employees throughout their professional lives. It also aims to give employees time to rest and return to work refreshed.

Maria Rajesh, Chief Human Resources Officer, Embassy Group, said: “At Embassy, we recognise that behind every successful employee is a strong support system, with family often playing the most important role.”

She added that the annual break is an opportunity to acknowledge families' contributions while encouraging employees to recharge and spend meaningful time with their loved ones.

Employee well-being initiatives

Alongside the annual Diwali break, Embassy Group runs initiatives aimed at supporting employees' mental and physical wellbeing, encouraging engagement and promoting open communication.

Its Employee Pulse Survey, conducted in partnership with Gallup, gathers feedback on employee experiences and helps identify areas for workplace improvement.

The company also runs ‘Brews and Breakthroughs’, an informal platform for employees to engage directly with leadership.

Other initiatives include fitness memberships, yoga sessions across its offices and fully sponsored full-body health check-ups for employees every two years.

Through these initiatives, Embassy Group said it hopes to continue placing employee wellbeing and work-life balance among its workplace priorities, while recognising the importance of giving employees time to focus on their lives beyond work.
