Up the ranks: Rupal Rajal joins CheQ as Head of HR

Rupal brings over 14 years of experience across fintech, technology, AI, SaaS, consulting, and FMCG, and will focus on strengthening talent and leadership capabilities as the company grows.

Rupal Rajal (pictured above) has joined CheQ, a credit card payment platform in India, as Head of Human Resources, bringing over 14 years of experience across fintech, technology, artificial intelligence (AI), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), consulting, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).

In her new role, she will focus on building high-performing teams, strengthening leadership capabilities, and fostering a workplace culture that supports organisational growth.

Rupal joins CheQ as the company continues to expand its presence across the consumer credit ecosystem. She has previously held senior HR leadership roles at Rupifi and Jupiter, where she gained experience in the fintech sector. Before joining CheQ, she led HR for Findem's India business while also driving global people initiatives.

Her earlier roles at Kerry and Accenture further broadened her experience across different business models, organisational cultures and workforce requirements.

At CheQ, Rupal will focus on aligning the company's people strategy with its business priorities. Her responsibilities will include scaling high-performing teams, supporting talent development, strengthening leadership effectiveness and fostering a performance-oriented culture as the organisation grows.

Commenting on the appointment, Aditya Soni, founder and CEO of CheQ, said: “We look forward to her contribution as we strengthen our organisation and prepare for the next phase of growth.”

Speaking on her appointment, Rupal shared:

"What excites me about CheQ is the opportunity to work at the intersection of fintech innovation and a rapidly evolving consumer credit ecosystem."

Rupal said her experience working with businesses at different stages of growth had reinforced the importance of strong people practices, empowered leadership, and a culture of ownership in building sustainable organisations. She added that she looked forward to working with CheQ’s leadership team to build high-performing teams and create an environment where employees could do their best work as the company grows.
