Selected services on the Taipei route are also reportedly set to be affected.
Greater Bay Airlines is expected to cancel flights to and from Bangkok between mid-May and September amidst surging global oil prices, with selected services to Taipei also reportedly affected, according to local media.
Responding to media enquiries, the airline said that the continued rise in fuel costs and a constantly evolving market environment have prompted it to make “make short-term adjustments” to services on certain routes based on business considerations. Greater Bay Airlines added that it will proactively contact affected passengers to make appropriate arrangements to minimise disruption, and apologise to all passengers affected.
As checked by HRO on Greater Bay Airlines’ official website, no flights operate between Hong Kong and Bangkok for most of the period from 11 May to 22 September 2026, except for two services currently listed on 3 July and 7 July.

Affected by volatility in the Middle East and rising fuel prices, Cathay Pacific and HK Express have also announced cancellations on selected routes from mid-May to June.
