Passes issued under public universities and government agencies will not be affected by this new implementation and the endorsement process will remain as usual.
With effect from 1 March 2025, the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) will be implementing the issuance of ePASS for the following passes:
- Employment Pass Category I, II and III (New and renewal)
- Professional Visit Pass
- Residence Pass-Talent
- Dependant Pass
- Long Term Social Visit Pass
- Transfer of Endorsement/Take Up Balance
The Expatriate Passes Division (ESD) said the implementation is set in line with the government’s initiative to enhance the efficiency of pass issuance for pass endorsements under the Division.
Passes issued under public universities and government agencies will not be affected by this new implementation and the endorsement process will remain as usual. There are also no changes to i-KAD issuance for applicable passes until further notice.
