Hot and hazy conditions are expected during the day in upper Thailand, along with very hot weather in parts of the North, Northeast, and Central regions.
The Thai Meteorological Department has urged the public to take care of their health as temperatures continue to climb across the country.
According to the weather forecast for 31 March to 6 April 2026, a heat low-pressure system will dominate upper Thailand, bringing hot and hazy conditions during the day and very hot weather in parts of the North, Northeast, and Central regions. Weak southerly and southwesterly winds over upper Thailand will also bring isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds.
Over the Gulf of Thailand, the South and the Andaman Sea, easterly and southeasterly winds will prevail during this period, causing hot days with scattered thunderstorms. From 2–6 April 2026, westerly winds will move in over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf, leading to fewer showers but even hotter conditions. Waves in both the Gulf and the Andaman Sea are also expected to be around 1m high, rising above 1m in areas with thunderstorms.
The Department has advised people in upper Thailand to protect themselves from the heat and to be alert for thunderstorms and strong gusts. Further, they should avoid open spaces, large trees, and unstable structures or billboards during stormy conditions. Farmers are urged to strengthen their fruit trees and prepare to prevent damages that could happen to agricultural and pet products, as well as maintain health due to the hot weather throughout the period.
